Notice of Annual General Meeting
Thursday 20th November 2025
Notice is hereby given that the 43rd Annual General Meeting of the Kew Community Trust will be held at 19.00 on Thursday 20th November 2025 at the Kew Community Centre, The Avenue, Kew, Richmond TW9 2AJ to transact the following business.
1. To receive and approve the Minutes of the AGM held on 26th September 2024. A copy of the Minutes can be found at: AGM-Minutes-26th-September-2024.pdf and a hard copy is available for inspection at the Kew Community Trust office.
2. To receive the Report of the Trustees.
3. To receive the Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2025 and the Report of the Management Committee and Accountants’ report thereon. The Annual Report and Accounts can also be found at https:/www.kewcommunitytrust.org.uk. A hard copy is available for inspection at the Kew Community Trust’s office.
4. Election of Trustees
The following Trustees retire by rotation and, being eligible, offer themselves for re-election.
4.1 David Polya
4.2 Louise Fluker
4.3 Dominic Evans
4.4 Any other person whose valid nomination has been received within three days of the AGM
5. Any Other Business

EXPLANATORY NOTES
RESOLUTION 4: ELECTION OF TRUSTEES
Resolutions 4.4-4.7 require a third of trustees to retire at the AGM and, if they are eligible and willing, they may offer themselves for re-election.
Resolution 4.7 Nominations for Trustees of the Management Committee of the Kew Community Trust (“KCT”) must be proposed and seconded in writing by Members of the KCT and received by KCT at the above address no later than Monday 3rd November together with a form signed by any nominee consenting to such nomination. Nominees must be members of KCT.
Nomination forms can be obtained from the KCT office.

- To receive and approve the Minutes of the AGM held on 26th October 2023. A copy of the Minutes can be found at: https://www.kewcommunitytrust.org.uk/the-trust/annual-reports-agm-minutes/ and a hard copy is available for inspection at the Kew Community Trust office.
- To receive the Report of the Trustees.
- To receive the Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2024 and the Report of the Management Committee and Accountants’ report thereon. The Annual Report and Accounts can also be found at https://www.kewcommunitytrust.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/KCT-Annual-Report-Accounts-2024.pdf. A hard copy is available for inspection at the Kew Community Trust’s office.
- To appoint P K Group as the Trust’s Reporting Accountants and to authorize the Management Committee to determine their remuneration
- Election of Trustees
Bridget Towers retired in July 2024. The following Trustees were co-opted as Trustees and thus retire and being eligible offers themselves for election:
5.1 Gill Linthwaite co-opted on 23 November 2023
5.2 Gillian Thorpe co-opted on 8 February 2024
5.3 Caroline Smee co-opted on 8 February 2024
The following Trustees retire by rotation and being eligible, offer themselves for re-election.
5.4. Steve Robinson
5.5 Rita Kamat
5.6 Steve Williams

EXPLANATORY NOTES

Resolutions 5.1- 5.3 The Articles require that any Trustees who have been co-opted must retire at the AGM and, if they are eligible and willing, they may offer themselves for re-election.
Resolutions 5.4-5.6 require a third of trustees to retire at the AGM and, if they are eligible and willing, they may offer themselves for re-election.

I am writing to invite you to the Trust’s Annual General Meeting which will be held in the Main Hall at Kew Community Centre, The Avenue, Kew at 19.00 on Thursday, 26th
Our AGM provides an opportunity to celebrate what we have achieved at the Trust in the past year and to express our thanks to you and others who support our work.
Aside from the business of electing Trustees and outlining our work over the last twelve months, we will welcome Gary Enstone, Curator, Museum of Richmond as our guest speaker and refreshments will be available. I look forward to meeting you at the event. In addition, many of our staff and Trustees will be present, as will some members of the Avenue Club, to provide a broad view of the work we do.
The latest Trust Annual Accounts approved by the Trustees are available on the Kew Community Trust website. We will not have hard copies available on the night.

Kew Community Trust – Annual General Meeting 2023
The Trust’s Annual General Meeting which will be held on Thursday 26th October 2023 at 7pm, in the Main Hall at Kew Community Centre, The Avenue, Kew.
Our AGM provides an opportunity to celebrate what we have achieved at the Trust in the past year and to express our thanks to you and others who support our work.
Aside from the business of electing Trustees and outlining our work over the last twelve months, we will welcome Simon Toomer, Curator of Living Collections, Kew Gardens as Guest Speaker. Refreshments will be available.
I look forward to meeting you at the event. In addition, many of our staff and Trustees will be present to provide a broad view of the work we do.
The latest Trust Annual Accounts will be available on the Kew Community Trust website soon and have been posted with Companies House. We will not have hard copies available on the night.

The Trust’s AGM will be held on Monday 27th September starting at 7.00pm. For Covid safety reasons we are restricting numbers and asking those that attend to undertake a recent Lateral Flow Test and wear a mask within the building.
I am delighted that the new vicar at St. Luke’s and the Barn Church, the Rev. Dr. Melanie Harrington will be our guest speaker. Refreshments will be provided outside if the weather is suitable.
