Kew Community Trust
Kew Community Trust is a completely independent secular charity, based in St. Luke’s in the Avenue, a building leased from the Church of England, which provides excellent facilities for all our activities, and is easily accessed by public transport.
The staff, supported by trustees, work in a number of ways to make a positive contribution to the lives of many people across the local area.
Our main activity is The Avenue Club, which operates on weekdays (usually between 10am and 3pm), providing an interesting range of classes, activities and services for our 500+ members. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, not all activities and classes are running. Details of current classes can be found on the timetable click here.
We have a number of excellent value rooms and facilities available for hire, on a ‘one off’ or regular basis, through our ‘Avenue Halls’. Classes and activities are offered in these, run by independent providers, usually outside The Avenue Club hours. Local groups and societies, including the Community Choir, often use our facilities for meetings…and people of all ages and stages of their life choose our facilities as a venue for their special celebrations. Please click here to see our regular hirers for current information.
Throughout the year, in normal times, the Trust also supports a range of social events for the Kew community including, ‘Meet in Kew’…a monthly gathering for anyone who lives or works in Kew who enjoys meeting – or re-meeting – neighbours; and a diversity of fund-raising events for other local charities.
THE CENTRE IS CLOSED, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF EXEMPT ACTIVITIES, FROM 16TH DECEMBER 2020
Due to London being moved into Tier 3, and then to Tier 4, under the Government’s Guidelines for COVID-19, the Centre is closed until further notice from 16 December 2020, except for those activities which are exempt.
We hope you understand that we have a duty to operate responsibly and do all we can to minimise the risk of transmission of the virus. We will be posting updates and any other important information on our website and on social media.
If you have any enquiries, need advice or just want to talk, our staff will be monitoring emails and phone messages so, please do get in touch. Thanks in advance for your patience, understanding and ongoing support.
