Stephen has been training members at the Avenue Club for two years and works exclusively with older adults – his clients’ average age is 73, his oldest almost 90!
Strength is increasingly seen medically as the most important component to staying active for longer; it strengthens muscles, joints and especially important – bones! It also improves coordination and balance, which reduces the chances of falling.
To train to the intensity to gain maximum benefit, supervision is intense and, for this reason, classes are kept to a maximum of four; other than an initial warm up every single lift is individually supervised. Most injuries and medical conditions etc can be worked through.
